Account Manager & Account Associate

Dooley PR is expanding its account management team. We are looking for savvy and energetic communications professionals to join us as Account Manager and Account Associate. We are looking for personable team players who can juggle, write, pitch, prioritize and thrive in a busy environment.

Account Manager

You are a well-organized multi-tasker with a get-things-done attitude. You should also be eager to build strong media and influencer relationships and be on the lookout for opportunities that lead to media coverage and other opportunities for our clients. Our ideal candidate is a strong writer who understands the web and social media and who has a desire to learn the ‘why’ behind every client. Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

• Act as primary contact to clients and their stakeholders, continually fostering client-agency relationship to build trust and become a valuable resource to clients
• Anticipate and address clients’ needs
• Demonstrate proficiency in writing and editing materials in a variety of media
• Create media relations plans and materials including news releases, media advisories, blog posts and
• Assist with social media for clients
• Research and monitor media and influencers for relevant outreach
• Help track media results reporting

Qualifications:

• Degree or diploma, preferably in PR or communications, and a minimum two years of related experience
• Additional post-secondary education and life experience also a plus
• Experience working with media and influencers
• Superior writing and editing skills that can communicate creatively in multiple media including news releases, journalism, social media, web content and speechwriting
• The ability and desire to work independently and confidently, but as part of a team
• The ability to focus on the larger picture while being detail oriented
• Proven ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with internal and client teams

Account Associate

You’re a recent grad from a communications program (public relations) and looking for an opportunity to get busy putting your schooling to work in the real world. You’re a versatile writer and curious to learn about multiple industries from manufacturing to agriculture. Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

• Writing and editing social media, news articles, news releases and other content.
• Tracking client activities including monitoring media clippings, social media engagement, website analytics and compiling all of that data into timely, accurate reports.
• Assisting account managers to fulfill client communications needs and ensure tactics are on brand and in line with corporate strategies
• Assist with media relations and blogger outreach, cultivating and maintaining relationships

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma, preferably in PR
• Additional post-secondary education and life experience also a plus
